Professional contact adhesive, odourless and elastic, based on polychloroprene.
Suitable for:
bonding or fixing different materials that need to be fixed, loaded and/or processed directly. Ideal for materials under tension or curved materials that cannot be clamped or pressed. The surfaces to be bonded must fit together perfectly. Particularly suitable for bonding and fixing metal and rigid synthetic cladding panels (HPL, Formica®, Duropal, Resopal), veneer, fibreboard and plywood, e.g. on wood, plywood, chipboard or MDF. Also suitable for bonding flexible insulating materials and foams, cork, leather and rubber.
Not suitable for:
Not suitable for polystyrene foam (Tempex®), PE, PP and vinyl.
Before use
Conditions of use
Use only at temperatures between +15°C and +25°C with a maximum relative humidity of 65%. To avoid bubbles caused by condensation, the temperature of the adhesive and the material to be bonded must be at least equal to the ambient temperature, preferably between +18°C and +20°C. Never expose coated surfaces to draughts.
Surface requirements
Surfaces must be dry, clean, free of grease and dust, and fit together well. Clean and degrease the surfaces to be bonded for best results.
Preliminary surface treatment
For best results, degrease first.
Tools
Use a stiff bristle brush or a fine-toothed spatula (1 mm) to cover large surfaces. Use a roller or rubber mallet to firmly join the materials together.
Product preparation
Mix well before use. Preferably do not dilute.
Coverage
2-2.5 m²/litre, application on both sides, depending on the nature of the materials.
Method of use
Apply a thin, even layer of glue to both surfaces with a fine-toothed spatula (1 mm) or brush. If the material is porous, apply a second coat when the first has dried. Allow both parts to dry for 10-30 minutes. The glued layer must be completely dry. Place the supports in the correct position and join them by applying strong pressure or tapping. Once joined, the pieces are fixed! It is no longer possible to adjust their position. Avoid the formation of air bubbles.
Warning
For best results, the adhesive and the parts to be bonded must be at room temperature (never use at temperatures below +10°C). The final adhesive strength depends on the pressure applied. Therefore, press down as hard as possible over the entire surface. If the adhesive joint between porous materials is exposed to constant contact with water, the adhesive may detach from the wet surface.
